In 2008, the Derry Town Council passed the Derry Green Building Policy, requiring that all new town buildings and major renovations meet LEED certification standards. Upgrades and repairs will additionally be consistent with LEED certification standards. The policy also stipulates that the Town shall strive to meet higher LEED certification standards when feasible.
